This is an antique cloisonné lamp. A Japanese, bronze urn with light conversion, dating to the Victorian period and later, circa 1850.



  • Delightfully decorative lamp with a fine conversion

  • Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order

  • Lightly aged bronze body hosts bands of colourful cloisonné 

  • Ground accentuated with a profuse relief swirl pattern and animal head masks



  • Converted during the Art Deco period with a small bayonet bulb mount

  • Dressed with a generous length of cable, with in-line switch and a British Standards compliant 3-pin plug (UK Type G)

  • Supplied with a quality modern lamp shade in a tasteful light cream hue

  • Standing upon a circular mahogany foot with protective baize base
