This is an antique dandy's travelling valet set. An English, sterling silver butler's grooming case by Mappin & Webb, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.



  • Fascinating 10 piece grooming set, presented in a delightful green travel case

  • Displaying a desirable aged patina throughout, with minimal tarnishing

  • Quality silver tools, each presenting bright tonality and tactile finish

  • Personal monogram to the case exterior, the gold tooling matching the pinstripe to the edge



  • Comprises a pair of lidded pots, a moustache brush and grooming tools

  • Tools presented upon champagne coloured velvet and lined in silk cotton

  • Mappin & Webb maker's mark adorns the lined lid interior

  • Each tool with the Birmingham assay mark and the lower case date letter 'L' for 1910
