This is an antique folding colonial tea table. An Anglo-Indian, teak occasional or side table in the campaign manner, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1870.



  • Enthusiastically pierced fretwork upon a striking octagonal folding form

  • Displaying a desirable aged patina in good order throughout

  • Quality teak stocks present deep chestnut hues

  • Ornate leaf carvings accentuate all surfaces with skilful aplomb

  • The top hosting a foliate medallion with a surrounding chased vine pattern

  • Eight superb fretwork panels show carved leaf and berry motif

  • Further budding leaf patterns decorate the fascia across each leg
