This is an antique gentleman's nightstand. An English, mahogany bedside chest of drawers, dating to the Georgian period and later, circa 1780.



  • Appealingly figured bedroom nightstand with useful proportion

  • Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order

  • Dashing select stocks present fine grain interest throughout

  • Sumptuous caramel hues beam beneath a wax polish finish



  • Arrangement of three graduated drawers with inset brass lined locks — key absent

  • Drawer boxes crafted from oak, the fascia accentuated with cockbeading to the edge

  • Fascia dressed with later brass handles in Aesthetic Period taste

  • The whole standing upon a quartet of collar turned bun feet
