This is an antique Mughal School painting. An Indian, handpainted scene after the art featured in the Seven Thrones (c.1492), dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
- Delightfully ornate 19th century interpretation of the original Haft Awrang text
- Presents a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
- Handpainted on fine cotton and set behind clear, bright glass
- Presents the first glimpse of Leili, taken from the Haft Awrang of circa 1485
- Also known as the Seven Thrones, a late 15th century book of literature
- Dressed to the rear with hanging wire for ease of mounting
