This is an antique North America map. A USA, framed lithography atlas engraving of the continent by JH Colton, dating to the Victorian period and later, circa 1860.

  • Resplendent with great mid-19th century detail, as compiled by Joseph Hutchins Colton Colton (1800 - 1893) was commissioned to draft up the map for the Clerks Office of the District Court, New York

  • Coloured detail used sparingly to accentuate the map

  • Dressed to the rear hanging wire for ease of mounting
