This is an antique pole screen. An English, giltwood and glass fireside reflector, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820.

• Fine Regency craftsmanship with a Dutch influence to the decor
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order - small tear to rear

• Beautiful oval screen, with a decorative surround and prominent surmount
• Adorned with relief flowerheads, the leaves sprouting outwards
• Blue and black palette to the screen decor, with an ornate foliate bouquet

• Screen raised upon a distinctive upright, with fluted detail at the intersection of the frame
• Superb arcaded bulb with double scroll motif, above the trio of legs
• Each cabriole leg terminates in scrolled toes, with shallow pad feet
