This is a pair of antique ornamental ewers. An Italian, bronze Grand Tour decorative pourer with classical taste, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.



  • Striking classical taste, with exceptional relief and mask detailing

  • Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good original order

  • Quality bronze presents polished golden tones to great effect

  • Socles crafted from black marble, polished to a semi-gloss sheen

  • Handles in the form of fascinating cameo portraits with a Greek or Roman appearance

  • Decorative faux spout hosts a foreboding fawn mask, with prominent beard and features

  • Quartet of fierce leopard heads sit prominently upon the upright
