This is a small antique court cabinet. An English, oak and boxwood side cupboard with superb revival taste, dating to the 17th century and later.



  • Wonderful revival court cabinet, of delightfully diminutive proportions at just 4' tall

  • Fascinatingly rare and unusual example, with a charming, country house appearance

  • Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout

  • Superb old English oak stocks present fine grain interest and medullary rays

  • Deep caramel hues abound, with lighter colour to the fine inlays



  • Traditional court cabinet form, with an upper cabinet over drawer and cupboard base

  • Deep crown with dentil moulding detail and Greek key inlay - corners with turned pendants

  • Upper door accentuated with foliate decor, set within a recessed panel

  • Fascinating arcaded galleries sit either side of the door



  • Full width drawer with circular pulls and ornate inlaid pattern

  • Pair of cabinet doors open with turned pulls and finished with flower motif

  • Shaped aprons at the front and side with scrolled detail

  • Standing upon a quartet of bun feet, with a panelled finish to the rear
