This is a vintage demi-lune planter. An Italian, weathered terracotta jardiniere, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1960.



  • Substantial and nicely detailed planter with a lightly weathered appearance

  • Displays a desirable, naturally aged patina throughout

  • Decorative relief to the fascia, with a central cherub mask



  • Appealing weight in the hand at 16.8kg (37 lb)

  • Drainage hole to the demi-lune base for ease of drainage

  • Maker's mark to the side for Zago Terrecotte - Impruneta

  • Located within Tuscany, Impruneta is known for its terracotta production
