Item Description
Large Antique Champagne Harvest Basket – R
A beautiful hand-made wicker champagne basket from France used to harvest grapes in the champagne region. The markings identify the grower and vineyard it belonged to. The basket has reinforced sides with chestnut splints and a pair of oak wooden base runners give extra strength and manoeuvrability. It is very sturdy and perfect for storing logs by the fire.

(65cm height including handle)
Circa: 1920s
Workshop Report: The basket is structurally sound with some wear to the wicker in places. It has one carry handle. Historical worm has been treated.
As with all our products, this product is an original vintage item so there are signs of wear from use.
