https://www.thehoarde.com/dealers/merchant-found1930’s Elm Church Dining Chair – Various Quantities Available. England has a wonderfully rich heritage for making chairs. At the height of production at the turn of the last century over 4500 chairs were being produced daily in the villages around High Wycombe. Each chair was hand made typically in Oak or Elm. These came from Yeovil whilst we were there sourcing, we found these unloved in a school hall and were so happy we could give them a new lease of life. They are a rich golden colour with a book shelf on the back, this skinny shelf on two hand turned pegs is rare. The carved seats are incredibly comfortable. We also have a growing collection to highlight the immense variety of shapes and styles that were so beautifully made. These chairs are in incredible condition. We service and wax each chair individually before they leave our workshop and we deliver chairs of excellent quality. Seat height 46cm.
Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
