Item Details
1960’s British Beech Church With Sapele Seat – Chapel Dining Chair – Set Of Eight. England has a wonderfully rich heritage for making chairs. At the height of production at the turn of the last century over 4500 chairs were being produced daily in the villages around High Wycombe. Each chair was hand made typically in Oak or Elm or Beech. We have a passion for Church chairs and will blog about the history at some stage. Sadly Churches find non stacking chairs take up too much space so they find their way to us to for a second rich life. These chairs are in incredible condition, some of the last to be made in Britain they are strong practical chairs made in beech. We service and wax each chair individually before they leave our workshop and we deliver chairs of excellent quality. These chairs have been carefully restored by us in our workshop. Seat height 44cm.
