Catalan painter Joaquim Busquets Gruart paints this simple scene of boats in an outstanding post-impressionist work. With a strong focus on how light reacts to the various objects in the scene, the artist creates a striking composition that highlights the midday sun falling on these boats.


In 1993, this fascinating artist decorated the altar of the Romanesque church of Perafita, which had been lost during the Spanish Civil War. This painting comes in a gorgeous gallery frame with his name engraved.
