Purcará de Tilcara is an archeological site built over many centuries by the indigenous people. By depicting people in their traditional dress, nobly working, the artist conveys a sense of another era.

Jose Roig was a Spanish artist who travelled and painted in Argentina. His works have sold internationally at auction for up to £4,000.
