A large antique mortar, which has been hand-carved from a tree trunk. The wear and cracking to the wood add to its rustic effect, and the old metal plate repair enhances its character. This is an imposing decorative piece, and it’s very heavy. We have waxed this piece to bring out the rich quality of the wood.
