Item Description
A painted trestle table top with bespoke metal base.
The trestle top is painted in a fabulous green with the text '8th Midlothian Boy Scouts Group HQ' plus the emblems and motto 'Be Prepared'. It was painted by G. Innes on 26th October, 1958. How do I know this? It's signed on the underside!
We've paired it with a black metal base, made by a local blacksmith.
The trestle top really is a great piece of folk art, either used as wall art or as it was intended as a practical piece of furniture. The top has been hard waxed so it's good to go for use in the home, shop or office.
