Item Description
An Anglo Indian inlaid bone teak trunk, circa 1920s.
Fabulously decorated to the top, front and sides with intricate circles and floral motifs, with brass side carry handles and a brass front lock, although it would have originally had a key as you can see the original key hole.
Lift the lid, secured by a brass chain, to find a candle box but look closely as the candle box is smaller on the inside than the outside. After a bit of fiddling, we found the secret drawer, sadly empty!
The trunk sits on plinths with bun feet.
A real beauty.
