Beautiful 1960’s oil on canvas painting of Siena by Henry Sanders 1918-1982.
Henry Sanders (Helmuth Saloman) was born into a Jewish family in Germany. In 1933 he left for Holland and then England where he studied at Hornsey College of Art, under Russell Reave and John Moody. He exhibited at the Redfern Gallery and Roland Browse & Delbanco. Thé Ben Uri collection holds his work. Gilt contemporary frame. The canvas is loose around the stretcher but no damage to the canvas itself. Please look at photos.
