Item Description
An artists box with contents believed to have belonged to a French artist including a wonderful oil on wood painting by Julien-Louis Thibaudeau 1859 - 1934.
On the reverse of the painting is translated. Claude Debussy 1862- 1918 painted by Julien-Louis Thibaudeau 1859-1934 Evocation of Prélude à l’apres-midi d’un Faun.(prelude of a Faun) written in 1894.
This was found in Béziers antique market and the man believed it could have belonged to the artist.
Oils from Paris plus watercolour tins and more all included in the sale and the wonderful oil painting too.
The box itself is beautifully presented with brass fittings.
