Vintage 1950's oil painting on canvas. Big and bold abstract portrait with a distinctive mid 20th century aesthetic. Beautifully painted with vigorous, expressive brushwork and areas of impasto texture. Signed & dated 58 lower right. Complete with the original frame.

Good vintage condition with craquelure and a few old repairs to the back of the canvas which correspond to blemishes showing on the painting - there is a small and discreet mark to the upper left corner, one to the upper right corner, one to the lower right corner, and a larger area middle left which can be seen in the eighth image. The frame is included in the sale for free.
