Vintage 1930s print by accomplished British painter, illustrator and lithographer Mona Moore (1917 - 2000) A totally charming reclining tabby cat, beautifully rendered with lots of wonderful kitty character. Pencil signed & dated 38 lower right. Complete with original glazed frame. Good vintage condition with minor creasing. The frame has signs of age and is included in the sale for free. 



Mona Mary Moore (also known as Mona Bentin and later as Deborah Bentin) is best known for her work during World War Two for both the Recording Britain project and for the War Artists' Advisory Committee. Her work was shown at several galleries including the Tate and Whitechapel and is held by the V&A Museum, the British Council and the National Museum of Wales. Her illustrations appeared in many popular publications, including the Radio Times, The Listener and Good Housekeeping. She also designed book jackets and illustrations for poems and novels and a poster for London Transport.
