Vintage C.1940's oil painting on canvas. A wonderfully intriguing work, with a couple of semi-abstract figures against a ground of soft earthy tones. Captured with loose expressive brushwork and a combination of layered colour and impasto texture. Signed lower right.
Fair vintage condition with signs of age - light surface dirt, craquelure, a few small spots of paint loss, and an area of repaired damage. The painted wood frame is included in the sale for free.
