Item Description
A very interesting set of four panel backed dining Carver chairs. I love these chairs, they have some very subtle features… the panel back is slightly wasted, the arms slightly slope in at the ends, making it more comfortable to sit at, the oak is well chosen and dry, the patination is original and the lettering in the back is full of conversation and intrigue! I can imagine these in an old snug or Irish bar and somebody saying, ‘who the hell was FL Hayes 1936 to 1940, what on earth is that all about?’
We will put them through our workshop and make sure that they are fit for purpose, but we will not be doing a lot to the colour and patination as I think this is major part of their charm.
