Item Description
A rare late 16th century Elizabethan boarded oak coffer, remarkably original condition with the feet being uncut and standing at their full height, no restorations or repairs- the only alterations being one of the wire hinges at the back (a sympathetic antique addition) and an old forged iron plate where the lock would have been. Remarkable glass-like patina all over.
