A rare pair of late 18th century carved wood blocks with foliate designs used for the mouldings on elaborate picture frames, signed with artists name, still retaining traces of the gesso used by the frame makers.  


Display nicely on a shelf, almost like a vase of flowers, but without the hassle of having to water them!
