Early 20th Century English Hand Carved Butchers Shop Trade Display

Made from sections of thick hand carved pine this rare item stands 5 feet tall. It would have hung in a butcher’s window at some point to advertise the sale of beef. Covered in its original hand painted surface which has now aged with a lovely heavily patinated surface. Its original hanging hook in place. A lovely aged original item what has stood the test of time.

This item is over 100 years old, still in complete original condition. There is wear and tear present in the form of faded surface paint and loss of the back leg (which has broken off many years ago), discolouring in sections and general aged weathering of all this item as shown. The hanging chain is not part of the sale. The previous owner has attached new metal hanging brackets to the back so it can be displayed on its side.
