19TH Century English/ American folk-art scratch-built model of a school

A rare example of a 19th century English/American folk-art scratch-built model of a school. With 3 headmasters standing in each doorway wearing metal caps. The building resembles a religious school of sorts, due to the inserted carved crucifix depictions. With inserted paper clocks and chip work decoration this example resembles typical tramp art techniques. A one-sided model of large scale, a complete one of piece of art in our humble opinion.

Dimensions in inches: H 28” x W 34” x D 9”

Age: Late 19th Century

Aged wear and tear across all the surfaces, Areas of worn surface include loss of the rear right turret. Aged and heavily patinated wooden surface. The paper material of the clock faces is stained.
