Late19th Century folk-art ship painting


A naive hand painted on paper folk art painting of a large ship, with painted detail including a ships captain and sailors with one figure holding a large telescope at the front of the ship as shown. With French coloured flags and mounted in an ebonised frame dated later and likely remounted in the mid-20th Century.

Age: 19th Century
Origin: Dutch/French
Condition: Good


This item shows natural wear and aging with faded surfaces but in overall good condition for its age. The edges of the framed paper show aged crinkling and creases.
