This is a fabulous find - an absolutely magnificent and unusual large hand blown Murano large glass bowl of rich ruby red with a pedestal foot and applied heavy amber glass trailing. Mid to later 20th Century. Superb and rare collectors' piece - an amazing statement piece which will look fabulous in any interior. A rich jewel of a bowl - you just cannot take your eyes off it. The photographs don't really do this piece justice - it is an absolutely fabulous piece of Murano glass - large, a gorgeous richer ruby red than appears here - a really amazing piece of art glass which demonstrates the skill of the glassmaker. Large, clear pontil mark underneath and plenty of bubble inclusions. 26.5cm at widest. 16cm high.


Condition:  Excellent - there is, however, a small chip on the foot - just under 1cm wide - which is mentioned for full disclosure. It is not readily visible as the size of the bowl hides it and it does not remotely detract from the beauty of this bowl. Nevertheless I have priced it accordingly.
