Item Details

A very lovely pitcher or cruche by Alexander Kostanda, whos' studio was based in Vallauris, south of France. It has a beautiful soft form, with a great blue grey patchy glaze that reveals the warm natural clay colour. This was produced in the early 60's, and has a wonderful refined interpretation of rustic French pottery. Kostanda was instrumental in setting up the Accolay workshops, before starting his own studio in 1953.
