An amazing pair of high stools from France, made in the 1950's.  Old knarled and twisted grape vine wood has been assembled by artisans to create a primitive and organic furniture style, which was part of the postwar design movement to connect artisanal workmanship and regional identity with design. The slab seat has uneven edges and the vine wood, with original varnish. Both are very solid and stable, ready to use as stools or just for decoration. Height 71cm 50cm wide at base
