Item Description
Gorgeous jardiniere or plant to hang on the wall. Made in Florence area in the 1950's, and made of tole, or tin, that has been cut and pressed to form a three dimensional to the scrolled leaf forms. Designed and made in the Rococco, Baroque style, the tole has been initially pained and then gilded, with a wonderful dull patchy patina. It hangs from a concealed metal loop, with a lower woven basket form, which holds the tole planting container. A very stylish item that fits into an eclectic contemporary home or a period interior. The basket is not garanteed water tight, and probable advisable to use a a decorative item or with dried vegetation. Shown with or without the container, and both ways are great!
