A very stylish and interesting needlepoint sampler from the 1950's. Depicting Peterborough Cathedral, the design has a strong graphic look in keeping with illustration work of the period, and with a wonderful zig zag border pattern, all made with a meticulous cross stitch pattern. The tapestry could be hung as is, or mounted into a minimal frame.
