Item Description
These hand made clay bottles are some of my favorite finds. Sold individually, they were originally made in Normandy around 1920, and used to store cider or poire alcohol. Using local clay from the Gers area, each bottle was individually hand thrown, each slightly different from the other, both in form and the nuances within the clay, which became more pronounced upon firing. This leads to loads of amazing natural natural colours from browns to greys within the bottles, as well as having gorgeous, sculptural qualities. These are amazing as a group, or alone, with a great minimal modern rustic aesthetic.
For purchase they are shown as groups of 2, 3 or 4, with both front and back pictures. Please name the photo number and the bottle number reading from left to right, or alternatively, send a screen shot.
Priced individually with heights between 28 and 31cm. 12 items available.
