A arge and very stylish coffee table by Ikea from 1990. The Ikea reference name was Stockholm, an the table appears to have been designed with an American mid century aesthetic, in the style of Robsjohn Gibbins and Edward Wormley. This is a very well designed table with great attention to detail. It's very heavy and good quality, using thick oak veneer, with a marquetry designed table top with a raised edge, elegant tapered legs, and a thick under shelf. Its hard to believe the table is Ikea!


Its a style that works across from traditional, or period rooms, to contemporary, and with its large size, and lower shelf, it's a great center piece to a sitting room, with loads of room for books and objects, and entertaining. In very good vintage condition with only a small dent to the edge, see photo, but with no impact on the look and appeal of the item.
