Offered for sale is this mid 19th Century antique brass bound carved camphor trunk.


Ideal as a coffee table or storage box. Oriental made for the export market. Solid camphor with brass bound mounts to the corners & sides. Nicely quality carved scenes to the top, front sides. Brass locks to the front with brass flat flush fitting handle. Side carrying handles. It has a lidded candle box inside. Standing on its original raised block feet.


Lovely colour and patina.  No woodworm.  No splits.  Lovely sweet smell of camphor when you open the lid.
