Offered for sale is this very decorative long case clock. Black lacquered japanned case with chinoiserie decoration. It has 3 brass finials to the top pediment, slide off hood with glazed door having bevelled edge glass. Brass dial, playing 2 tunes, 8 day German movement, driven by 3 brass weights (no winding). Strikes on each quarter & the hours on rods. Has silent/chime cords. Bevelled glass trunk opening door, original pendulum. A highly decorative case. It has a key to lock the hood & trunk door.
