Offered for sale is this rare Horrickses Miller & Co Preston cotton advertising cabinet.
Rare survivor from a bygone age. Ebonised glazed cabinet containing original Cotton samples with descriptive labels
Horrockses was founded in Preston in 1791 as a Cotton manufacturer and became one of the most famous in the country with a world wide reputation. In 1946 the company started Horrockses Fashions Limited and the Horrockses label was born. The clothing was designed by designers in London, using cotton that was designed and produced by the Horrockses Mill in Preston. It is from here that this Display Cabinet would have graced the wall of the entrance lobby or main office
