Item Description
Dimensions: 170cm wide x 50cm deep x 89cm high.
This fabulous console table made in the style of a classic Drapers Table which was used in a fabric shop to lay out the fabric ahead of measuring and cutting and the bolts of cloth were stored on the shelf underneath.
This example has been made by our wonderful French cabinet maker who was taught his trade by his Father. The table has been made using authentic methods and with antique wood. The wood has had different paint effects over time, but this has been stripped off and the raw oak has a wonderful grey patina to it. We have treated with a clear wax to feed, nourish and protect the wood and we would recommend this as continued care for this beautiful piece.
The table has turned legs and a handy shelf to display treasures or store items in baskets or the like. A wonderful sideboard, console table size or behind a tall sofa.
