18th-century Italian-painted commode chest of drawers


An exquisite 18th-century Italian painted  Mahogany commode chest of drawers, showcasing a blend of elegance and rustic charm. This finely crafted piece features a subtly curved front with three spacious, oak-lined drawers, offering both practical storage and a decorative flourish. The original painted finish, now gently aged with a soft patina, reveals intricate floral motifs, and delicate scrollwork, typical of the Italian Rococo style.


The top surface has a beautifully worn design, adding to its character and storytelling allure. With gracefully shaped legs and ornate brass handles, and brass florals on each corner. This commode exudes timeless sophistication and charm, making it a statement piece for any interior. The commode features a beautifully distressed, hand-painted finish that adds a touch of antique patina to the piece, enhancing its historical appeal.


Please bear in mind this is a large chest of drawers and is very heavy and well-made.
