Sadriac is a small town about twenty minutes from the centre of Bordeaux which was known for the manufacture of pottery in the 19th century and a similar version of these jugs can be found in the town's pottery museum. They would have been used for wine, water or olive oil and would now make a lovely decorative threesome.
