Item Description
Fabulous large French linen damask tablecloth and 12 matching napkins. Excellent quality pure linen with a wonderful pattern to the damask.
This set has never been used - never even been laundered, it is as it was when it was first purchased. These will last a lifetime or two; it is an excellent heirloom set.
GL monograms to the centre of each napkin and two on the tablecloth, drawn thread hems, all hand stitched - a very stylish set.
Colour is currently a rich cream; this will fade quickly as the set is soaked and laundered before use. Traditionally these we sold unbleached and then left their natural colour or bleached by the owner (or their maid!).
In excellent vintage condition with no wear or damage. Well stored with few marks to speak of and nothing that won't be dealt with as the set is laundered. The faint blue marks you can see around the monograms are from the original stencilled design. These will fade away with washing.
