French Linen Sheets For Curtains Or Upholstery

It is rare to find sets of vintage sheets so I was pleased when I came across a batch of these really nice linen metis pieces.  These will make great sheets but they are of course perfect for curtains/blinds and upholstery projects. If you need a good load for something, grab them now!

These are sold per piece. I currently have six pieces.

The metis is a medium weight, comfortable with drape but sturdy too. Simple red cross stitch laundry monograms of the letters MG set to one corner.

Colour is a pale cream which will lighten with washing to a pale oatmeal/off white. 

Linen metis is a linen union; a linen weft and cotton warp and has been very popular with French housewives down the generations. Less expensive than pure linen and a little easier to manage but still smooth, cool and long lasting. The fabric is medium weight and tightly woven, with a good "lineny" feel. Great fabric for upholstery projects or curtains, blinds etc. (I have many in stock if you need more, but they are not identical.)

No damage or wear, some storage marks on the outside folds as you would expect but generally they've been well stored. One sheet has been used a little more than the others but they are all in very good condition.
