Item Description
A 19th century, French copper and brass bowl. This is unusual in that it has a brass band which reinforces the base and this also adds to the decorative look of the piece. There is also a substantial brass ring handle attached so that the bowl can hang when not in use. It would appear that the bowl has never been tinned so it is most likely that it was for use with sugar. It dates from c.1880 and is in very good condition. There is just minor denting, and pitting to the base of the bowl from use.
