Item Description
An unusual, 18th century, Wedgwood creamware jelly mould. This is marked “WEDGWOOD” and it dates from c.1790. It is also impressed with a large letter “L” which would be a workman’s mark. It turns out a tiered form with a diamond shape to the top which is quite unusual but also, it is surprisingly heavy for creamware, due to the thickness of the potting. Most creamware of this period was very thinly potted. Due to the thickness of the potting there are some shrinkage marks to the interior of the mould. Otherwise it is in very good condition.
Dimensions: Height 7cm. Length 13cm. Width 8.5cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £20. Most of Western Europe add £10.
