Item Description
A Wedgwood, black basalt jug with a hinged pewter lid. This is marked “WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1920. It is also impressed with a number “30” which would be a batch number, and a couple of other, indistinct numbers. The jug is relief decorated with a continuous band of classical figures offering sacrifices. To the rim is a border of grapes and vines. The reliefs are all good quality and the jug is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Height 14cm. Width 12cm. Diameter 8.5cm.
