A beautifully elegant antique French footstool - for me it was love at first sight with those gorgeous carved legs, just look at that shape, the colour, the flowers and the bulbous little feet! Covered in a neutral herringbone fabric which has some small marks (shown in the photos) this is perfectly serviceable as is but would look amazing re-covered. A great size for a footstool or occasional seating, this also works as a little side table with a tray on the top. c.1900.
