19th Century Hand Carved Masonic Gavel

A rare example of a 19th Century hand carved masonic gavel. With some amazing detail across all this artifact. Inscribed LA at the top with the all-seeing eye centrally positioned. The masonic tools carved midway with an amazing pair of hands in embrace just above the handle. Unusually the all-seeing eye has a few purpose made holes which are positioned 2 at the top and sides and 3 in a triangle form at the bottom (this has masonic symbolism for sure but we are unsure exactly why).
