Item Description
This sheet is huge and beautiful! It is sad that it has never been used; never even been laundered. It is gorgeous weighty but cool and smooth pure linen currently in a sandy colour which will quickly fade with laundering to a lovely creamy oatmeal shade.
Sheets as wide as this one are a rarity! The fleur bleue quality mark is printed along the selvedge proclaiming its status as "toile pur lin" (pure linen fabric). This will fade away as the fabric is laundered.
It is entirely hand stitched, of course, with a hand wrapped ladder return hem and central monogram of the letters PT. A classy piece just waiting to shine. Wonderfully comfortable to sleep under or a beautiful curtain. Dating to between the wars.
Well stored with just a few marks on the outside folds as you would expect. No damage or wear, it is in excellent condition. Soak and wash before use; laundry notes supplied.
